The Psalmist cries out to his Lord in Psalm 42:1-2 (NKJV), “As the deer pants (longs for) for the water brooks. So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear (I see the face of God) before God?” This passionate soul winner deeply desires to stay thirsty for spiritually lost people to be Born Again! I just may see His beautiful face before the sun sets!
Pastor Michael Martin of Meridian Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN is making plans to host this soul winner in a revival format in September. He knows the importance of preparation; therefore, he will host me on Tuesday, June 17! We will be going door to door in the community to share the love of the Lord Jesus! Please pray for us that we will see precious spiritually lost people Born Again! The gospel still works when we work (John 4:34-38)!
On June 12-14 Pastor Larry Jones of Concord Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN along with his faithful leadership team will host the 4th annual Rise Revival for young people at Locust Springs Christian Retreat in Greeneville, TN. This year’s theme is Unashamed. Each year Pastor Larry and I have seen many precious young people transformed by the power of God! We have also seen young men and women surrender to their Lord’s call upon their young lives for service in building His everlasting kingdom! This year, in addition to our sharing the gospel, two young men who have surrendered to their Lord’s call upon their lives to proclaim His Holy Word in previous years, will also be preaching to their peers! Pastor Larry and I not only believe in salvation, but we also believe in discipleship! These two young men are in high school, and they are already being faithful to their Lord! Please pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit next weekend (Jeremiah 33:3)!
My transformed passionate heart is greatly strengthened when pastors and their faithful leaders effectively follow-up with precious people who make spiritual decisions when they bring me into their harvest fields! A young mother who rededicated her life at Beulah Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN on March 30 and then requested baptism has been baptized! She did not go under alone! Her best friend was also baptized! They did not even have a pastor! This coming Sunday, June 8, Pastor Jason McIntosh of Shady Grove Church in Dandridge, TN will baptize an 18-year-old female college student who was gloriously Born Again when I proclaimed the gospel there on Sunday, Feb. 23! Praise His Holy Name!
A passionate soul winning truck driver in Kentucky recently called me requesting 5,000 Born Again flyers! He means business, because he is on business for his Lord! I asked him where he received the flyer. His best friend had visited Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Jefferson County, TN and was given a flyer! It is dated 2003! YES! The living God can use the gospel on a piece of laminated paper!
Solomon tells us in Proverbs 27:2, “Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.” The head trainer at Morristown West High School sent this message to me: “Thank you so much for always including my student trainers in your tradition of giving Bibles to senior students (football players). They were blown away with the Bibles, but more so with your kind words of encouragement and highlights of key verses. I love you, Brother Jeff.” A dear loving Spirit-filled lady who was reared in a pastor’s home and has prayed for us for over 20 years, stated upon receiving last month’s newsletter, “Thank you brother Jeff for this praise report. God’s goodness had me raising my hands and praising His Name as I read it and cried tears of joy. Thank you for sharing the work of God in your family. His Word is always faithful and true; His promises never fail. How wonderful it is to see the children He blessed us with, loving and serving Him. May God continue to bless and use you, your family, and WSFJ to save lost souls. I continue to pray for you all. To God be the glory! Great things He hath done!” An 88-year-old Spirit-filled lady who first heard me proclaim the gospel in another part of this great state nearly twenty years ago, called me this week! It was, as the previous words, directly from the great heart of Almighty God to His servant’s heart! “You are at the top of my prayer list! I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to anoint you and that you will see more people saved! The Holy Spirit brings messages back to my mind that you preached here many years ago.”
This Sunday, June 8, I will be most privileged to be my Lord’s mouthpiece at Omega Baptist Church in White Pine, TN where Scott Ingram is the pastor. This great church began in 1986 and is still growing strong! Please pray for the fire of God to fall!
This impactful work of soul winning could never experience the mighty hand of Almighty God without your faithful prayers and support! With all of my heart, thank you! I love you!
