December 2025 Newsletter

December 8, 2025

Missiologists, the people who study missions, tell us that every 50-60 years Almighty God reaches out of Heaven and saves a generation of young people, baptizes them in the fire of the Holy Spirit, and calls them and sends them out to reach this lost world for Him!  They are now saying that the time is now for this generation!  I, personally, have been watching this for the past ten years as I am leading young people and college students to faith in the Lord Jesus and watching Him call them out into the Harvest fields! The prophet, Isaiah, tells us about His call from his great God in Isaiah 6:8. “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’  Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”

Dakota Helton was raised by his grandparents. He attends Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hawkins County, TN.  I have assisted this great church on numerous occasions over the past 28 years!  Dakota has come to church at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on the church van for several years.  He is now college age and is attending Tusculum University in Greeneville, TN.  He is a walk-on long snapper on the football team. He called me last month and asked me if he could give my name to his head football coach, Billy Taylor. Coach Billy grew up in the neighborhood that I grew up in!  We are all very proud of him!  He loves the Lord Jesus with all of his big heart (Deut. 6:5)!

Coach Taylor had me deliver the message to his great team in their chapel service on Friday night, Nov. 14th, before the game against Carson Newman University!  He had already requested that I not give a public invitation for fear of embarrassing his players who are not familiar with a public invitation.  As I prayed about it, my Lord instructed me to simply give them a decision card along with a marked copy of the New Testament.  I literally poured my heart out to over 80 players and coaches!  I knew that my Lord moved deeply; I just did not know how deeply until I arrived back home and looked at the Decision Cards!”  20 players Born Again. 16 players Rededicated their lives to their Lord. 17 players requested Baptism.  30 players Surrendered to their Lord’s call on their lives!

In over 41 years of winning lost people to faith in the Lord Jesus, I have never seen such a powerful move of the living God in one place!  Praise His Holy Name!  He is still in business!  Chaplain Joe Costner told me that he, Coach Taylor, and his assistant coaches have literally been pouring the Word of God into the lives of these young men for the past two years! This is called planting and watering the seeds of the Word of God in Matthew 13! The anointing, calling, and gifting of Almighty God on the New Testament evangelist is to bring people to a decision for their Lord! I have conducted revivals and area wide events where I have not seen a Harvest for my Lord like I just witnessed!

I met with Chaplain Joe Costner, who is only 23 years old, and I told him that if he did not immediately begin to follow-up with these young men that they would become cold quickly!  He listened! On Thursday afternoon, Nov. 20th, Chaplain Joe, assisted by the strength and conditioning coach, Tyler Estep, baptized five of these precious young men in the Nolichucky River at the bridge under the Hwy. 107 Bypass! This bridge was destroyed by Hurricane Helene a year ago! I gave each young man, as well as Chaplain Joe and the Coaches, a copy of the New Believer’s New Testament!

The day before the Chapel Service I saw my Lord move mightily at the Jefferson County Jail! The church room was full of men who looked worn and beaten down!  My heart hurt for them!  As we began, four men left to use the restroom, and I knew that our great God was at work!  Four Hispanic men were there and only one of them could speak English, so I had him to interpret for me and he did it with excellence!  I could tell from the prayer request time that several of these men were about to be deported, but I could also see the convicting power of the Holy Spirit working on their hearts!  After I delivered the message, I led them in the prayer to be Born Again and the man who was interpreting was praying out loud and the other three men prayed with him in Spanish to be Born Again!  Glory Be!  The change in their countenance was dramatic to say the least! The transforming power of God will do that! Those three Hispanic men were gloriously saved!  Four other men rededicated their lives!  My Lord said to me: “Son, you are praying for Me to take you all over the world with the Gospel!  I am bringing the lost world to you!”

When the living God moves, He moves!  Psalm 115:3 states: “But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.”  Thursday, Nov. 20th was another powerful day at the Jefferson County Jail!  Oh, how your powerful prayers are being answered!  Every man was plugged-in as the Holy Spirit was moving so very deeply! One man boldly spoke as we were about to begin: “For the first time in my life I am in the Word of God and prayer, and I know that God is speaking to me! This is better than getting high on drugs!” His Lord greatly used him to set the spiritual tone for the rest of the service!  You could actually feel the awesome power of the Holy Spirit set down amongst us!  Men began to cry as they requested prayer for their families and themselves! It is something to see men laying hands on one another and praying for them, especially if they have never prayed in their lives! Tears were flowing and I barely had enough time to read the text for the message and comment before giving the public invitation! One man was Born Again, and seven men rededicated their lives to their Lord!

When my Lord gets me in front of people with His Holy Word in my hand, He moves on hearts!  With all that is within me, thank You for praying and sharing! Only my Lord knows what the very few people who stand with me mean to me and to my Lord’s work through my life!  Have a wonderful Christmas!  Jesus is the greatest gift in History because History truly is His story!

For Souls Forever In Heaven,
