In John 9:4 the Lord Jesus states: “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” How much time do I have left to do my Lord’s work on earth? Only He knows, but I desperately and passionately want to win as many spiritually lost people to Him as I can before I go to Heaven! Thank you for encouraging this passionate soul winner with your prayers!
Last week I was privileged to serve alongside Pastor Milton Knox at Central Baptist Church in Spring City, TN in a revival setting. This church has not had a revival in over 10 years! Pastor Milton pastored First Baptist Church Dayton for 33 years, and he has been the interim pastor here for the past 4 years. I was blessed to serve alongside him several times at First Baptist Dayton, and we always saw our great God move powerfully! Central Baptist Church has been decimated by sin in recent years, but their Lord has let them know that He is not done with them! I led a Mini Soul Winning Clinic on Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour, and the people responded with excitement! On Sunday afternoon we went out into the community sharing the glorious gospel door to door! I was so very encouraged to learn that this church body is very spiritually mature! They go out into their community with the gospel on a regular basis! Several people recommitted their lives to their Lord in the services each night! Pastor Milton and I visited during the day. We saw our great God lead us in only the way that He can lead His faithful servants when they are soul winners (Psalm 32:8)! One day as we pulled into a driveway, the owner pulled in right behind us! She had just returned from visiting family in another state! She came to the revival service that same night! On another day, we visited a dear lady who had grown up in Central Baptist and has lived out of state for most of her life. She came to the revival service for two consecutive nights, and she joined the church on the second night! Neither Pastor Milton nor I have ever seen this happen in our ministries! He has been pastoring for over 52 years, and I have been an evangelist for over 34 years! Many of the faithful servants of Central Baptist took most of the soul winning materials that I took with me to train them to use in their personal ministries! One dear man serves his Lord daily at a camp in the community! He was elated that I invested these materials in his personal life and ministry! Jesus said: “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matt. 10:8 NKJV). I have never seen a church body so very hungry for the Word of God and for the work of God!
On Saturday morning, Sept. 19, Pastor Bob Province of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN hosted me for a soul winning clinic in preparation for the revival on Oct. 18-21. It was very well attended considering that this church has not had a revival in over 15 years! The servants in attendance responded very positively! One dear lady said: “I did not know what to expect! I have been encouraged!” Please!! Be praying passionately for the awesome power of the living God to move on our Lord’s people during and after the revival (Jer. 33:3)!
The very bright light of the Lord Jesus Christ continues to shine ever so brightly in the Jefferson County Jail (Matt. 5:14-16)! A man who has been coming into the Church Room for over two years recently stated: “I am facing 14 more years! Please pray that my Lord will strengthen me and that I will stay faithful to Him.” He also said: “Brother Jeff, I prayed last night that you would be here today! When you are here, the Holy Spirit is here!” One young man requested prayer for his little baby. I could see his tears hitting the floor as we gathered around him, laid our hands on him, and prayed for him!
Two young men who were recently Born Again gave a powerful testimony of the transforming power of God in their young lives! One of them penned these words on his decision card. “Thank you for doing what you do for us, Brother Jeff! I’ll be praying for you!” Another new believer waited to see me after one of the church services! He said: “Do you remember me?” He was smiling and he wanted to let me know that he is doing well as a new follower of the Lord Jesus! Recent converts are asking to be baptized!!
I have told you about one of the cell blocks where two men have already surrendered to preach the gospel! I sense that another young convert in this cell block will one day be a Biblical theologian! Their spiritual growth is most evident and very profound! These dear men pray for their Lord to bring men into their cell block who need the Lord in their life! A young man from a foreign country was in here for the very first time! He told us that his mother had prayed for the Lord to place him in the penal facility in the USA where he could grow in his personal walk with his Lord and HE answered her prayer! Two young men who were recently Born Again testified to their “changed lives!” One young man spoke with tears of joy streaming down his face: “I just want to praise God that He has saved me! My life is totally different! I do not have the stress and anxiety that I once had. I have peace! I really appreciate my cell mates praying for me and with me.” Another young man said: “I know that my life has changed, but I am struggling with the desire to go back to my old ways. I was a Muslim and I do not want to go back to that lifestyle!” We gathered around these young men and laid our hands on them as we prayed for them! Twenty-two men recommitted their lives to their Lord this past month! I am attaching another personal testimony of our impact in their lives in these very evil Last Days!
As you can see, transformed lives is what this work for our Lord is all about! On Sunday morning, Oct. 25, I will be blessed to proclaim the gospel at Sunrise Baptist Church in Bulls Gap, TN where Jeremy Smith is the pastor. As long as I can breathe, think, and talk, I pray that my Lord will allow me to be a mighty and powerful tool in His Holy hand to reach the nations of this world with the life changing message of the Gospel! Thank you for standing with me! I really appreciate and love you!

Letter to Jeff from a prisoner:
Dear Jeff,
In times such as these, we are to rejoice. Often easier said than done, but nonetheless…Rejoice! Your obedience to the Lord is an ever-present reminder to me. A reminder in the awful place, that I am to be obedient as well. You are a Light to the world. You are salt of the earth. We are so very fortunate that God has sent you to us to speak through you the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ…that you may make it clear, which is how you ought to speak! You are a blessing to us.
I could write many pages trying to explain what your words and deeds mean to me. However, I’ll sum it up with this: As I go through my own personal Luke 22:31 moment in my life. I will not be going back to my life of fishing for you are my Luke 22:32.
