Eternity is way too long to be wrong! You’re thinking to yourself, “I don’t have time to follow Jesus. I want to enjoy my life for myself. You wouldn’t believe how much money I’m making!” This is the same thought process of the Rich Man who found himself in hell! While Lazarus was living, he begged the Rich Man for his leftovers. In death, the tide turned. Look at verse 24. In hell, the Rich Man begged for Lazarus to just give him one drop of water to cool his parched tongue, but it was eternally too late! Paul Lee Tan states: “There is no way to describe Hell. Nothing on earth can compare with it. No living person has any real idea of it. No madman in wildest flights of insanity ever beheld its horror. No man in delirium ever pictured a place so utterly terrible as this. No nightmare racing across a fevered mind ever produces a terror to match that of the mildest Hell. No murder scene with splashed blood and oozing wound ever suggested a revulsion that could touch the border lands of Hell.” Don’t Do It! Don’t Reject Jesus! You’re thinking to yourself: “God is too good to damn anyone to hell.” That is not what the Bible says. Psalm 1:5-6 states: “Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” God places your salvation or damnation on your acceptance or rejection of His Son, Jesus. Jesus states in John 12:48. “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-the Word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” It is not God that is hard. It is you! Romans 2:5 states: “But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.” Every real and true agency of God seeks to lead you to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 states: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” The living God does not send you to hell! Your rejection of His Son, Jesus, sends you to hell! In Matthew 7:21-23 the Lord Jesus states: “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them. I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” You will have No More Excuses! Do you want to hear the Lord Jesus say to you? “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” It is finished and finished forever for you will immediately enter the place called HELL! Don’t Do It! Don’t Reject Jesus! Give your heart to Him today! He loves you more than you will ever know (John 3:16).
