The Psalmist states in Psalm 71:17-18 (NKJV) “O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.” Praise the living God that He truly keeps His great promises! His great heart still burns passionately in my heart for this spiritually lost world!
The devil has fiercely fought my getting back into the Jefferson County Jail, but he has not prevailed! Praise the Lord! Last Thursday was the first time that I have been in that spiritually dark place since the first of this year! Seven precious men came into the room that they call The Church Room with a dejected and downtrodden look on their faces, but they left with the beautiful joy of their Lord on their faces because He was moving in their hearts! As soon as we began to pray, the Holy Spirit began to move deeply and powerfully throughout the room! Three men stood to share their prayer requests and they wept openly! Tears were flowing down their faces! All seven men recommitted their lives to their Lord! Today, eight men rededicated their lives to their Lord! One dear man came to me as he was leaving, and he opened his Bible to 1 Cor. 13 as he stated: “Every time that I come in here and you are here I feel the love of the Lord!”
A dear lady from Meridian Baptist Church in Knoxville who works with men who are recovering from addictions sent a beautiful and thoughtful card with these encouraging words. “Thank you so much for all you do to bring others to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You made an impression on my sweet mom, and they have carried that message to others. I am taking four more men to church this Sunday, and it started with you!” I have spoken with Pastor Michael Martin, and he shared with me that five people have joined the church since the revival in September! Glory Be! The gospel still works when we work!
My Lord recently gave me two opportunities to share the gospel on the streets of my hometown. They were definitely divine appointments! Both men prayed with me as they allowed me to share the love of the Lord Jesus with them! In this fast-paced world, only the living God can arrange an opportunity to share the gospel in its entirety with lost humanity!
Pastor Travis Webb of Westview Baptist Church in Morristown recently hosted this passionate soul winner for both Sunday services! Before I stepped into the pulpit on Sunday night, I asked the people for public prayer requests and they responded! You could feel the deep movement of the Holy Spirit as I called them to an altar of prayer! Oh, praise the Lord! I wish that you could have heard them literally pouring their hearts out to their Lord! One dear man was so happy that he began to shout praises to his Lord! They began singing the great songs of the faith as they fellowshipped around the altar! Then, people began sharing their personal testimonies! We were there for over two hours as the living God moved mightily on each person in attendance! The “real preacher” showed up!
A very faithful businessman in my hometown recently stopped me to tell me that the television broadcast is outstanding! One Sunday a dear lady stopped me in a restaurant as she said: “Are you the man that I see on TV all of the time?” I said: “Yes mam, I am.” She said: “Oh, you are doing an outstanding job!” Our great God knows how to encourage His faithful servants! My Lord recently said to me: “Son, thousands are watching the broadcast every week. People who are saved are even watching!” A mass evangelist can reach the masses today through the media if he will allow his Lord to lead him daily (Psalm 32:8)!
My Lord has recently opened a very big door for me to speak to the Tusculum University football team next Friday night in their chapel service before their game on Saturday! Coach Bill Taylor loves his Lord! Please pray for the awesome power of God to move on the scene!
For reasons of confidentiality, I cannot tell you everything that I would love to tell you! I can just say that my Lord is giving me the rare privilege to “speak truth to power!” I have boldly spoken for my Lord without fear (2 Tim. 1:7)!
As I have shared the gospel in the jail, on the streets, in the church, and on television I can truly feel your powerful passionate prayers! That is where the power is always! With all that is within me, thank you! Please pray for me and with me that my Lord will give His soul winner opportunities to lead untold billions to faith in the Lord Jesus before I go to Heaven! I do not want anyone’s blood on my hands (Ezekiel 3:17-19)! Thank you for standing with me as I labor in the harvest fields! I appreciate and love you!
