Praise the Lord for this great nation! The living God predestined the USA to be a shining light to all nations! For all who have served and given their lives in the armed forces to protect this great nation, thank you! Two hundred and fifty years is a long time, but it is not forever when compared to eternity! This passionate soul winner is so very thankful that I can proclaim the glorious gospel message with great FREEDOM (John 8:36)!
Over five years ago, sister Karen Douthat heard from her Lord! She did not want to live to see young people in her sphere of influence live as she had lived in her youth! Karen heard me proclaim the gospel in a revival in the early 2000’s at Mountain View Baptist Church in south Greene County and her Lord told her to contact me about assisting her in an evangelistic youth event. With a very clear green light from her pastor, Larry Jones of Concord Baptist Church, she moved forward to greatly impact the young people in her area of this world! Her Lord has and He continues to honor her obedience to His call on her life!
This year’s Rise Revival was anointed and greatly blessed by our great God! All the glory, honor, and praise go to Him (Isaiah 42:8)! Kyler Seals and Leland Payne were called to preach in previous years, and they did an outstanding job being their Lord’s mouthpiece again this year! Pastor Larry Jones also preached a very powerful message as he has each year as the host pastor! Miss Sarah Richards was called by her Lord to the mission field two years ago in the event and she is now serving in Belize! Sarah sent a video of her testimony from Belize to the young people in this year’s event, and it was so powerful!
Karen Douthat and the ladies who assist her are powerful prayer warriors. They are also great planners! They pray, plan, and prepare a year in advance and their Lord greatly blesses their sacrificial labors! Several of the ladies missed work on their respective jobs with no pay to serve alongside Karen! On the first night, four middle school young ladies came to me after the service to ask me how they can pray for their lost friends! I went through the How to Pray for the Lost flyer with them and we prayed for their friends! On the second night, a young man came to rededicate his life and he was under such strong conviction that he was shaking and trembling in tears! On the final night, I gave the public invitation and the altar literally flooded with young people weeping before their Lord! Some were even wailing! I’m not stretching the truth! Counselors and pastors were on the floor weeping with them! I could see a young lady from the pulpit crying the entire message! I was so tempted to just stop the message and go to her, but I just let the Holy Spirit continue to move on her young heart! I have never seen this in 34 years of full-time evangelism! She came forward in the invitation and said: “I came here tonight hoping to have fun. As soon as I came through the door, I came under conviction! I am not living as I should! I have been saved tonight!” She also surrendered to her Lord’s call on her young life! She is college age! This is power from the living God that can only come through deep, passionate, and persistent prayer! We also witnessed one of the most powerful praise and worship times that I have ever experienced! A 17-year-old young man came to me to show me a color coded How to Be Born Again Flyer that I gave him at VBS at Bibles Chapel Baptist Church eight years ago! He still carries it in his wallet! Our work for our Lord always comes up before us! Each young person received a brand-new New Testament along with flyers on How to Be Born Again, How to Pray for the Lost, and Life Begins at Conception. Each young person who made a decision also received a New Believers New Testament with study helps by Pastor Greg Laurie. This generation of young people needs to experience the shekinah Glory of God move on a group of people in mighty power and they did! Pastor Larry told me that nearly 50% of the young people in attendance made a decision! 4 youth were Born Again! 19 youth rededicated their lives! 2 youth came for Baptism! 2 youth surrendered to their Lord’s call upon their lives! 8 churches were represented! I had each young person who made a decision during the revival to come forward on the final night and tell their peers what had taken place in their heart this week! I wish that you could’ve seen them boldly and publicly proclaim what the Lord Jesus had done for them!
Pastor Scott Ingram of Omega Baptist Church in White Pine, TN hosted me for their Homecoming service on June 14th. The church is only 40 years old! Former Pastor Bernie Cagle first brought me here over fifteen years ago! The church is growing! I did not know many of the people! They had just finished Vacation Bible School! Pastor Scott and Pastor Cagle have always preached and taught the whole counsel of God, and you can tell it from the pulpit! Also, Pastor Scott has cultivated a strong following on social media since becoming the pastor in 2019! He has over 10,000 followers! My Lord had me deliver the message: Think About the Consequences about the life of David. During the public invitation, Pastor Scott abruptly stopped everything! He said: “This is the third message on the life of David that has come from this pulpit recently! I have preached it! Pastor Cagle has preached it! And now Brother Jeff has preached it! Jeff did not even know this until right this minute. God is definitely speaking to this church!” This has never happened to me in 34 years of full-time evangelism; nor has it ever happened in my 69 years of attending a local church! HISTORIC! What a most powerful example of the voice of Almighty God speaking to one church! Oh, how He passionately pursues spiritually lost people as well as His own people! A dear lady who watched the message online messaged Pastor Scott that she prayed with me to be Born Again! She is now coming to church at Omega Baptist Church! Oh, the awesome power of the internet to reach spiritually lost people!
The Jefferson County Jail is still seeing the awesome power of the living God move! One of the men recently led his cell block in singing the great hymn of the faith, Amazing Grace. One man raised his hand to speak. With conviction in his voice and tears in his eyes, he said: “My mom loved this song.” Toward the end of the song, he laid his head in his hands and began to weep! Then, we began to take prayer requests as we laid our hands on the men’s shoulders and prayed for them! One man said: “Man, I felt the power of God move over me!” Other men made similar statements. As I began the message, God Still Loves the World and He Always Will, the man who had spoken about his mom slid out of his chair and onto the floor as he began to pray in tears! Another man went to pray with him! I stopped the message to pray with him! He was so broken that he could not talk! As the message came to a close, he raised his hand to speak: “Thank you, men, for praying! The power of God rushed over me today! I know that my mom would be proud! I have recommitted my life to my Lord! I have never experienced the power and presence of God like I have in here today!” A young man spoke up: “This has been awesome! This whole jail needs to experience what we have experienced here today! We need this every week!! Other men affirmed his statement! I have told them more than once that people are praying for us each week! The light of Christ shines the brightest in the deep darkness! They hugged me and thanked me for being there!
The men in one of the cell blocks are even telling the guards to get them to the church room when I am there! These men are truly growing in their personal walk with their Lord! They are leading men in their cell block to faith in the Lord Jesus! One of these young men recently handed me a hand-written note which stated: “Brother Jeff, I just want to thank you for taking the time to come and preach the Word to all of us and ultimately bringing the Holy Spirit in the services that you provide. Thank you for all of the prayers that you have prayed over me and always find a way to make me smile by singing This Little Light of Mine. I’ve seen God move in only ways that He can do, and I’ve been very blessed by your teachings and the love and compassion that you have shared. Thank you for everything.” Another man recently said: “I requested prayer that I would get to see my son’s baptism service. He brought the video in here and showed the service to me!” He also told me that I bring the Holy Spirit in there with me and that the men can tell that I am real and that I love them! One of the men gave his heart to the Lord this month while thirteen men rededicated their lives to their Lord!
As you can clearly see your powerful passionate prayers are being answered! By the great grace of my Lord, I hope to share the glorious gospel message on Wednesday night with the Vacation Bible School students of Bibles Chapel Baptist Church in Midway, TN where Don Bible is the pastor.
Thank you for your steadfast faithfulness in praying and sharing! You are definitely making an eternal difference in the lives of thousands of people! I appreciate and love you! Please pray for me and with me that my Lord will get me in front of untold billions of spiritually lost people with His Holy Word in my hand!

PS: A young man came to Kim and me as we visited a local church service. He opened his Bible to show us a How to Be Born Again flyer that he taped in the back of his Bible! I took over 100 to him late in the week to hand out!
