Don’t Do It! Don’t Reject Jesus! (Part 2)

The Rich Man made his choice. He said NO to Jesus, and he entered the pits of Hell. Lazarus said YES to Jesus, and he entered the glorious place called heaven. In this temporary life, Lazarus was a poor man and a beggar. The Bible tells us that he begged for the crumbs which fell from the Rich Man’s table. Dogs licked the sores on his body, but in heaven he has a new glorified body. He is no longer hungry. He is no longer poor. He is living in eternal paradise! The streets are gold. The gates are pearl. The walls are made out of jasper. No night is in heaven because the power of God and Jesus are so strong that they light up that beautiful city. Lazarus is experiencing inexpressible joys in heaven. In Psalm 16:11 (NKJV), David states: “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” The Rich Man’s life changed drastically when he went to Hell. Verse 23 tells us that he was tormented because he was in a lake of fire, and he was burning, but he couldn’t burn up. In Matthew 25:30 (NKJV), Jesus tells us that hell is a place of outer darkness with weeping and gnashing of teeth. You’re punished for the evil things that you do in life just as you are rewarded in heaven for the good that you do in life after you’re converted to faith in Jesus Christ (Luke 12:42-48). Don’t Do It! Don’t Reject Jesus!
